    There are already many apps offering home tour solution but on the whole, they still lack a most important feature of unescorted property tour.

    Our client, came to us with an idea – called CIWAO that will change the way of home tour solution app. Client already knew what features are needed to be done but wanted to overcome some technical challenges that became the roadblock for the project.

    This is when the team of ChromeInfo Technologies came into the picture and played an important role to provide all technically feasible solution to the client that can complete his idea.

    CIWAO, a revolutionary technology, that allows buyers to enter homes for sale or for rent without a realtor/property manager and without an appointment.

    CIWAO stands for "Come In We Are Open," and it allows buyers to enter vacantly properties at any time, between 7 am and 7 pm, 7 days a week or occupied properties at times specified by the occupants of the home.

    The CIWAO system includes 1 electronic door lock so the buyer doesn’t take possession of the home key; security cameras with cloud recording, and multiple CIWAO signs to drive people from nearby streets.

    A. For Buyer - CIWAO brings a new way of organizing house tours. With CIWAO a buyer doesn’t need to schedule a tour, they can get access to the property anytime as per their convenience, they just have to request for an access from a realtor.

    B. For Seller – CIWAO gives them a hassle-free way to let their potential buyer view their property in case they are not available or cannot meet buyer as per the buyer availability.

    Here’s a list of the noteworthy features of CIWAO

    Manage Properties
    A realtor can manage their properties and the hardware integrated with that property through this section. Also, a realtor can monitor the or view recordings that were recorded when the buyer visited their property.
    Lead Reports
    Lead Reports allow a realtor to view lead reports, where admin can filter the report by date. In the report, a realtor can see how many visits have been done to their property and who visited. This way a realtor can have an update about the visitor.
    Associates
    This feature allows a realtor to manage their associates, the associates are the one who can take action on behalf of the realtor when a realtor is busy or not able to respond to buyer.

    Request Acess
    This handy feature allows a buyer to get access to the property they want to visit. Buyer has to just allow access to their location and as per their location, the CIWAO home present there will be shown after which user can select any home and request for the access.
    My Properties
    This section of the app allows the buyer to manage those properties which they have visited earlier. Through this section, a buyer can manage the evaluation notes, rating and review about the property. The advantage is of this feature is that it gives a comparative view of all property visited thus making it easier for the buyer to make a decision.
    Open Houses
    This feature allows the buyer to view all the CIWAO house on the map and view their details and also feasible time to visit. Buyer can also navigate to the house location from here.

    Security is the major concern of the users now a day. CIWAO have implemented a certain feature that not only makes CIWAO different from other but also provide a peace of mind to both realtor and buyer.

    Background Check

    CIWAO buyers and renters must pass a comprehensive criminal background check. For this, their data is checked through 550 million records.

    No Possession of the House Key

    CIWAO door locks allows realtors to open the home remotely. Buyers don’t take possession of the key.

    Live Monitoring

    CIWAO cameras alerts the occupants if anyone enters the home after hours. Monitoring can be done by the house owner or by the occupant. The camera does not record the audio.

    Video Session

    Since the realtor doesn’t need to be present physically to show the house, CIWAO let them have a video call where both realtor and buyer can connect and have a conversation.

    Challenges and their Solutions
    As the app depends on various hardware integration, the challenge to select the right vendor of the hardware was a crucial decision.

    >Our team had interview sessions with companies from the USA and China to understand if their hardware can resolve our problem or not. In the starting, we found those companies which had their SDK’s but as those were not customizable, so this solution didn’t work. Then we finally found a vendor from China whose SDK’s were customizable and to meet our target they agreed to customize their SDK as per our need.

    The other main challenge was Security and Authenticity as the system involved strangers (buyers) who can visit someone’s house in their absence and also realtor need to know whom they giving access.

    ChromeInfo team spent a good amount of time in searching for a third party platform who can verify the user’s details and can fulfill our requirement. After which our team found an API called as BackgroundChecks which met our requirement. There were many API’s but the one mentioned above met all the criteria and provided us with all that information which were needed in our platform.

    The next challenge was to make the complete system compatible with hardware.

    Our technical expert team had a regular conversation with the hardware provider team to understand their system thoroughly and then customizing our code to get the desired output.

    The Testing environment was another challenge as project involved GPS and hardware, so the team had to test in live scenarios.

    To overcome this challenges, we went with 2 step solution. The first step was to get the hardware so that hardware integration can be done and tested thoroughly. The second step was our QA team went on to different places to create dummy CIWAO homes and then checked overall functionality.

    The most important challenge was client satisfaction.

    The client had very high expectations as there was no system which has functionality like CIWAO and security was the primary goal of the client. To win the client’s trust, we first gave him a PoC (Proof of Concept) in which our technical team, showcased their expert level and met client expectations completely.
